A note of heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of you who sometimes read me! It is so rewarding to see that people from other places, from sometimes different and distant places also look at my stuff!
The image of the Emperor continues to appear and I am trying to stay with it, to see where he/she wants to go… what empire still needs to be safeguarded or built? What skyscraper or pyramid needs to be erected or demolished? What land or what people still need to be eradicated? What demon, this time, what labor needs to be tamed? Like plastic, the emperor confuses me, and I am taking my time to reflect a bit more about it…,
Meanwhile,
I have a booklet of instructions to recommend for the Season:
How to insult, abuse & insinuate in classical Latin, naughty but nice (Catullus, poem 26)
Lots of light, forgiving humor, and, if possible, kindness and sparkly child like love!
Stay well!
See you soon.
Garrula lingua - Motor-mouth (Ovid Amores II-2)
Look forward to part 2
In the meantime enjoy your asparagus and Latin insults...this the season
Merry Mary
I have always said if you are going to insult someone do it in Latin; if only I knew some Latin.
