I had what I think is a similar conversation tonight about how our systems [pharmaceutical, insurance, food] are focused on reducing illness, not on promoting health. Those archangels are so beautiful one hardly notices their weapons.
Yes, indeed. I learned that the paintings were most likely commissioned by the local aristocracy and I would imagine were portraits of them, dressed in their usual festive garbs! The weapons were contemporary...
